We know we’re overdue for sharing a Perfect Mesh update. The quick news is that we’re happy to share that we are several weeks into production on the collection!!! 😀. 🙌 ❤️
Our factory has been producing the fabrics and is getting ready to dye them. While we were hoping production would be complete by the end of January, we’re excited that the factory is making good progress, and we’re almost at the finish line! Read on for more detailed updates:
Fabric Color Samples Ready to Approve
Our factory is shipping us color swatch samples this week so we can approve the dyeing. We are so excited to be moving forward with 5 great colors for the collection, including the Fearless Fuchsia color that was only available for our crowdfunding campaign.
Fit Testing Feedback
Our fit testers loved the back coverage and front coverage of the panty and the oh-so-sexy look and feel of it! To make sure the panty doesn’t give people wedgies, we had the factory add a very thin, lightweight elastic around the leg opening. It is a brushed fabric elastic that’s very soft to the touch and thin enough that it doesn’t add bulk to the seam. The elastic helps hold the panty in place. The factory is sending one more sample this week so we can fine-tune the stitching of the elastic.
Perfect Mesh Panty incorporates the best of the Brief & the Hipster
As we went through the fit testing process, we realized the fit of the Cheeky Hipster and Brief were becoming nearly identical. We merged the two designs into our final Perfect Mesh Panty. As you can see from the image below, the fit was very similar between the two!
The Perfect Mesh Panty incorporates: the wide gusset & fully-lined cotton front panel from both designs, the sexy mesh design in back from the cheeky, and back coverage that’s similar to our Perfect Mesh Brief from our v2 (Snow Day) and Sunkissed collections.
Lunar New Year
One of the reasons for the delay is the approximate 4 week shut down that happens starting in mid-January for the Lunar New Year. Now that our factory team is back running again after the holiday, we are making progress very quickly. Once we approve the final sample and dye swatches, the factory will proceed with dyeing the fabric and then cutting & sewing it!
