Our favorite apps to help you get more done in less time
Your day is jam packed, right? That’s what happens with you hustle hard and make it work. We totally understand. So that’s why we’re so excited about these little time/effort/sanity saving apps that you can use on your desktop, or right on your phone. Trust us, taking a few minutes to read this post, and a few seconds to download these apps will save you hours of frustration and wasted time in the future. The only problem you’ll have: how to spend that extra time? But we’re sure you can think of a few ways.
1. Asana
If you work in a team or collaborate on projects, you’ll love Asana. We can’t quite figure out if it’s supposed to be pronounced like the yoga routine or not, and we don’t really mind. That’s because this app lets you create separate workspaces for your different gigs, invite colleagues to co-create a project, and stay on top of that crazy long to-do list. It has clear due dates in list or calendar view, sub tasks so you can really break-it-down, and fun creatures (like unicorns!) that fly across the screen when you hit that check mark.
2. Evernote
If lists aren’t your thing, try this app. You can capture your thoughts, to-do’s, and million dollar ideas in almost any form. It’s like having a virtual notebook for your brain dumps. Clip a website, leave a voice note, upload an image – just a few ways you can record your thoughts before it’s too late and the idea escapes you. With so much going on in our minds on a daily basis, this is a great way to free up some mental space so you can focus on the (actual) task at hand.
3) Soul Seconds
Sometimes doing less is actually more. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by your to-do list, it may be best to take a break and clear your head! If an hour of meditation every day feels like way too much of a commitment, then try Soul Seconds. Instead of downloading this one, you can sign up for text messages or hop on the website for your daily “Soul Shot”, videos, and soundtracks for meditation and mudras for busy people. In fact, some of the meditations can be done in as little as 10 seconds or 10 minutes. When it comes to nourishment for your soul, what’s 10 seconds, right? Give it a shot and see if you come back to that to-do list feeling refreshed and ready to tackle it!
OK you made it through this post! Those few moments you spent here were well worth it, right? Now you’ll feel more organized, efficient, and refreshed. Know what else can help you feel that way? A Panty Drop subscription. Make a note in Evernote to sign up for Panty Drop, so you can take panty shopping off of your Asana to do list, and spend more time meditating at Soul Seconds. It’s a win-win-win-win!
